Music

Let's just go with a general topic. I have no filter when it comes to music. I'm sure there is some random music that I do find grotesque or plain ol' bad but not often. I either don't care, don't mind it, or like it. Not to say that I take the time to listen to all sorts of music because I don't. I don't mind country but I don't leave it on a country station when I'm flipping around on the radio. It would be easiest considering every station except three are country... I don't mind classical. I like rock. I like some heavy metal but probably not all. Mostly I listen to christian music. Even though every other musician is redoing the same song. It doesn't make me like the songs any less... We have a lot of great secular music, though. Anyways, I just thought I'd confess my love for good and bad music. If it's music, I like it.

Let's end with my kids' favorite songs: Twinkle, twinkle
ABC's
All in All( Which is from one of those kids remaking grown-up songs cd!)

  1. wait... something strange is happening here... didn't you just post, like, 4 days ago? What's happening!!!!????? I'm kind of the same way, but I'm morally opposed to "Christian Music". Sometimes while I'm driving, I stop on a station and, I'm not gonna lie, I rock out. Hard. Then, I listen to the lyrics and they are saying things about Fathers and Sons and God and Jesus and I have to change it. Then I cry to husband that I was listening to Jesus Rock. He dies a little inside everytime he hears me say that.

  2. Thank you for noticing. I made a covenant with myself to post often from here on out. Even if it's not funny. If I stop being funny completely I might have to reevaluate my desicion, though.

I'm going to write a Jesus song just for Arwen. It goes- Oh, Arwen, you're so great. I am so glad I died on the cross. 'Cause if I didn't you'd go to hell. Oh, Arwen, you're a lucky hobag...

And, yes, if you didn't notice, it's the middle of the night. I'm hot, parched, and my tooth hurts like a mother so I'm wasting time until the codene starts to work.

  5. that is so true. I hear Jesus played the accordian but that was "edited" out of all pictures by the Catholics, because, as you know, the accordian is a very uncool instrument. Too bad. I'd totally go to a Jesus concert...

  6. well arwen, you are totaly invited to the jesus concert. it is called heaven my friend- and he is just waiting to take your hand and lead you there. he has given you a backstage pass all you must do is call the ticketmaster(otherwise known as god) and accept. he will rock your world and lead you into a melodeous new life, where there are no more tears, just carmen, petra, sandi patti and a bunch of other really wonderful musicians.

  8. I sat right there in your house on Rountree Street and did not force you to sid down and play me a song on your piano. I miss your music, Jenner.

  9. I really don't think there is such a thing as a "lucky hobag." And even if there was, I'm pretty sure Arena would not be one.

  10. hey, thanks kaydub. but if i were any sort of hobag, i would hope it would be a lucky one.

tt- um... can I ask you a personal question? why are you making all these references to seeing people in heaven lately? are you sad? do you need a friend? cause if you do, call your sister or something because i don't wanna hear it. I still haven't received any "package". but i'm totally going to that concert. I hear he's playing a set with Ozzy... (Osbourne, not Davis)

    Arwen,

Your "Jesus played the accordian" post was perhaps the funniest thing I have read on the internet in a very long time. Still gigglin' about it!
