You know how people ask,"What would you do if you had a million dollars?" Or even a thousand? Or even a hundred? What would you do with $20.73? That's the real question. Don't you think that's a much more relistic question? I mean, it's actually something we would think about in our lifetime.
I really think it's important to think about. Would it be food? Shoes? Diapers? We might as well all take a few minutes to think through our priorities and decide what's most important.
I would...give $2 to a homeless person, $5 for a good fastfood meal, and $13.73 for a really nice camera. Do they have really nice cameras for $13.73? I was really wanting a digital one that has a lot of zoom. At least 5 to 7 megapixels, too. Let me know if you find one in that price range 'cause that's all I got!
mmm, i am in full agreement with this post.
ReplyDeletei am poor. dirt poor. i wish i had money to give you so that you could buy a camera...but i dont even have money to buy dishsoap, im resorting to hand soap. is that the same??
p.s. i just posted again, i suggest you check it out!
Ryan and I just went on our anniversary date. WE really didn't have any money so we both got $12 and we had to think of something fun to do with it. It was a great time. Sometimes it is ok and is still fun to be poor huh? (There are other times though that I would rather be filthy rich and that is the truth.)
ReplyDeleteIf I had a few bucks, around twenty, I'd invest it in a long term roth ira I think. I'd then sit and wait for the money to come rolling in! Yesssss, mmmmmm, money...cha-ching....booyaaa...(imagine me rolling in all my money right now).
ReplyDeletegood question jen! so i guess if i won $20 i would probably go buy liam some new clothes with it because that is what i love to do with extra money usually. but if you're asking what i would do with my last $20 in my bank account, i would probably try as hard as i could to not go to starbucks next time i get the urge.
ReplyDeletei know this sounds bad to say, but i'm glad to know there are a lot of us poor people out there. sometimes it really discourages me because i think we're never going to get past the barely making it stage, but it makes me happy when i read about everyone and their poor stories too! so thank you all for sharing your poor stories, they have really encouraged me today! - pris
I would buy Jasper a brain.
ReplyDeleteif i had $20.73, i'd probably get Muchas Gracias and put the rest of the money in my gas tanque so that i could get to work and make another $20.73 to start all over again.
ReplyDeleteTanque.
ReplyDeleteIf I had around $20, I would see if I could trade someone for like $30ish, and so on until I could purchase Canada.
I heard of a guy who started out with a paper clip and traded with people until he had a house! It all starts with a paperclip! It didn't even takehim that long!
ReplyDeletehey roni... i'll trade you $30 for your house... whadya say?
ReplyDeleteNo see, the deal is you give me $30 and I don't give you my house, I give you $20.
ReplyDeleteI think I would use $10 to reimburse myself the money I recently lost to Ryan and then but the remaining money either towards the national deficit or buy myself 10 items from McDonald's $1 menu. I haven't decided which one yet.
ReplyDeleteWell, until you decide, how about you mail that $10 that you owe me. After that we can probably figure out what to do wiht the leftovers...hey, maybe you could download some killer Moby tracks from itunes.
ReplyDeleteI also am poor. Well I think so, only because theres lots of stuff i don't have that i want to have. whats great is my new neighbors have most of that stuff and they love to share!!
ReplyDeleteWell with 20.73 i would pay someone to clean my house and with the extra
(would there be extra) someone else to watch my kids. then I would do anything I wanted. Probably sleep or for an uninterupted conversation with my husband.
best regards, nice info
