An any-day friend

Doesn't everybody want this kind of friend. The kind of friend that can hang out with no expectations. They can find contentment in being near each other and simply reading a good book. I know I do. Friendship that delights in the simplicity of life. I hope that I always try to be a friend with no expectations. I want to be a funny friend, a serious friend, a thoughtful friend, a quite friend, an honest friend, a genuine friend, an any-day friend. I'm thankful to have those kind of people in my life. I wouldn't be who I am without them. Chelan Metcalf is one of those. An any-day friend. I love spontaneous friends. Cheryl Klobas and Christ Vartanian are my Gresham any-day friends. I don't get to talk to them much but I still know that when one of us finally picks up the phone we can start off right where we left off. Wherever we are in life I pray that God will always send us any-day friends. Do you have one? Posted by Picasa

ummm... yeah! My friend Lynn is an any-day kinda gal. My friend HEather Crawford (though I haven't talked to her in like three years) is like that, and my good friend from college Corren.

I value their friendship because it's not high maintenance and you could be in the middle of a very serious talk... stop talking and just sit and there's none of that awkward silence stuff! MAN! That's good stuff!

You also never have to be worried about using the "right words" to express something... they just know your heart and choose to believe the good, and never hear the bad.

Good post Jen!

Jess keeps showing me that she's my everyday friend and I love her for it. If I didn't have her, I wouldn't have anyone.

Tara is mine, of course. we dont talk, write, call, or visit each other, but we still love each other, we are wierd like that. so its not so much everyday anymore, more like every 3 years! but i doesnt matter, cause we are heart best friends and i know that she is always there for me. and as cheesy as it is, rolo is my other every day friend. he is my rock everyday, like arwen said about jess, if i didn't have him, i would have no one.

Jen- You are my any-day friend, that I miss having around sooo much. I miss you!

I love that we can talk like we have no children...When they are screaming and fighting we so easily tune them out. We talk and catch up on eachothers life, until someone gets hurt. "Gotta Go" means we'll just finish that conversation another time.

That is my any-day kinda friend!

Love and miss you!

What cute girls! I wish I could see them sitting together and reading like that...

My sister Jessica is my any day friend. We can always hang out without awkwardness and never run out of things to say. She cares about all of the boring details of my life and listens to me talk about them all the time. And my cousin-in-law Ann. I miss seeing them! Thank goodness for Skype!!

Hug Ella and Isabel for me! Thanks fo sharing such a sweet post!
