I like throwing things. For pleasure, that is. Not in anger. Some do. I don't. This evening was really beautiful and my kids were already in bed and so Ben and I went outside and threw a baseball back and forth. It's fun. It's relaxing. I'll throw a frisby, a football, other types of ballage. I must add in here that I owe my football throwing skills to K.C. Miller who taught me everything I know. And trust me, my skills would amaze you. I'm glad Ben and I bought frisbees a while ago. He also bought me my own baseball mit. It's great. Throwing's great.

And just in case you were wondering, I'm not so good at kicking things...

I'm here, and I'm listening. It's true. K.C. taught many people the basics to throwing. I, too, am no idiot when it comes to throwing. However, I rarely do it! You've inspired me to say the least. I think this 4th of July will be a wiffle ball day at the park!

I love to play catch!! Kyle makes fun of me 'cause I'd play catch all day if he'd play with me. I must be fair and say that he's usually pretty willing to play and that we laugh a lot when he does. It does make me happy to think about you and Ben having some quiet, kid-free time to throw things. Good times! We'd love to see y'all!! Come on down or we can come up!! The next 2 weekends are booked but after that we are pretty free I think. Also, we seem to be without your phone #. My email is moemlf@hotmail.com if you don't mind shooting me y'all's info! Hope things are going well!

I like throwing. It's the catching that always does me in. I was that kid that was scared of the ball, which made softball a terrible choice of summertime activity. Hope you guys had fun playing catch! See you SOON!!!!

Last night Jen and I added a new twist to our catching game. We stopped catching the ball, added a balloon launcher and a bat, and let our kids play. Essentially, Jen, Emma, and Aiden were on the balloon launcher (with E and A doing the launching) and I stood about 15 feet away with a wiffle ball bat. Unfortunately, the ball never really got close enough for me to take a good swing, however, it was fun to watch Emma and Aiden trying to pull back on the balloon launcher as far as they could pull. The pain, struggle, and raw aggression that was evident in their faces as they pullled back on the launcher was an accurate commentary on the human condition. It was a good night!

p.s. Isabel was sitting in a lawn chair watching. She has yet to earn the right to play in our family games.

Once, no one believed that I was married because they had never met my husband. They thought that I was just making him up.

This is how i feel about this Izzy character you keep talking about. I don't think she exists.

Deep sigh.
Jen, I truly love our fam, but you immediately provoked in me deep regrets! I cannot even imagine why I did not take ANY of my kids out into the yard to play catch with ball or frisbee! I was the one who was supposed to buy your first mit! Oh well. Fortunately all three of you turned out rather remarkable ... in spite of your upbringing!
