F.F.F.F. is out the window this week... How 'bout life?

Forget it. Friday's past. I'm posting something else. I wasted a lot of time trying to find a picture and I couldn't find one. Forget it!

Emma starts first grade tomorrow and she is really excited. She's gotten some new clothes, a new hair cut, and new teeth since last she stepped through school doors. Her new teacher goes to our church which is fun and so does her bus driver. This will be her first time riding the bus and she is very happy! Thankfully here it doesn't matter how close you live to the school, you can still ride the bus! I dig it!

Aiden starts pre-school on Thursday! I am making my son an honest man! (At least in this particular area. He still tries to steal things from everywhere but we're continuing to show him the path he should take...) He is very excited and I am very excited for him. He got a real cool nap bag for nap times that has a cool frog pillow. He also got some new clothes. We get to go to his school tomorrow night to see his classroom and we get to eat dinner there. He thinks that is very cool.

Izzy has taken the initiative to use the toilet and has been doing a pretty fantastic job. It's fun that she's about to be the only one at home with me. I am happy for her. She's talking really well but is definately not the chatterbox that Ella Metcalf is. I'll have to figure out how to put a sound clip on here so everyone can hear her smoker voice. It's hillarious.

Well, for all you out there that this will affect, the kids and I will not be coming to Portland. We are doing our best, though, to save up for a great vacation next summer to P-town and disneyland as well. I will only be able to see the Vartanian and Metcalf babies via pictures and it breaks my heart but thus is life sometimes...

I hope God is blessing all of you. May you look for opportunties to show Jesus and learn the comfort of being inconvienced, at times, and maybe uncomfortable. I will try to do the same...

I never comment on posts, but I will this time. I am super bummed that you will not be able to visit, more bummed than you know. I was so looking forward to my little chatter box and your little smoker getting to talk it up and raise cain once again. If we strike it rich, which we should do any day once Chelan's crack "business" finally gets off the ground, we will buy you your own private jet complete with a swimming pool for the kids, a scrapbook room for your and a full service bar (what else?) for old Benny. Untill then tell the kiddos Aaron says, "sup." For the record Izzy is still my favorite Ries, but it is pretty freaking cool to imagine Emma and Aiden going off to school. They are going to kick some Sidney/Brownwood tale.
Peace out,
Aaron

That's Sidney/Brownwood "tail"...oops. I guess it could be "tale" too, that would be somewhat funny. It's not a good idea to comment while weeping in your office...really wish you guys were coming. We miss you so much it hurts.
Aaron (again)

Texas schools start so early ... or maybe Oregon ones just start late. Anyhoo - hope you and Izzy have fun together at home by yourselves.

It was good to see Ben last week - even if for only a minute. Everyone here misses you guys. I'm sad you can't come back until next summer.

Hey don't forget about the man of the house. Ben also got a back to school outfit.

Who can't be excited about going back to school with an outfit like that.

Sizzlin' hot. I am glad we aren't going to the same college...I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes to myself!!

Thanks for posting that picture, Andy! It's really too bad that you don't have the balls (or should I say "ball") to post the picture of you wearing the exact same outfit. Oh, and by the way, I didn't have any fun at that mystery dinner! Not because your friends weren't cool, but because you're a miserable person to be around and a horrible brother. I hope you get drafted by the Swiss Army.

If the party was a drag I appologise, but I am sure I made up for it when I showed you the cow crossing, took you to McDonalds in Liechtenstein and best of all, hooked you up with Ulga at Oktoberfest.

She called by the way, said you left your red jump suit at her place.

Boys, boys, boys....it isn't about you, it is about my wonderful grandchildren. Back to the subject of Jen's blog....I will really miss seeing all of you this fall as well. My few minutes with Ben was great, but too short! Give everyone hugs and kisses.
