We've done it!

This post is an ode to our good friend Adam Langford who is currently in Ginja, Uganda. This
is a picture of our brand new game. The title is Rail Baron. Adam inspired us when he first purchased his own game for a fairly high price on E-Bay. He grew up playing it and felt it worth the price to own such a fabulous game. Ben and I were fortunate enough to play Adam's game numerous times and once he departed the country we felt a hole in our game repetroir(sp?). Unfortunatley for Adam, our game has never been played and we did'nt have to spend quite as much as him! If you look at the picture displayed you will notice the railroad cards are still attached to each other. For those of you out there who have not played Adam's game, do not plan on playing ours, or have not played someone else's, you should really try it out. It's great fun and worth every penny! Peace out! Posted by Picasa

Ok Jen, I just read Ryan's blog...I have read yours and not commented.. I am asking for forgiveness. I had no idea it would cause you such distress. :)

I'm so glad I found your blog! It was so good to see you and Isabel at Chris and Sarah's wedding! We miss you guys! We'd really hoped to maybe stop and see y'all on our way through Abilene towards Austin but we were running way late on time so just sped right through! Now that we live so very much closer I hope that we'll get to see y'all more! Tell Ben and the kiddos hello!

Congratulations. Over the next several years you will come to realize that Rail Baron was the greatest purchase of you life. I can't believe you found an un-played game! Well done, well done. I do want to say though, while new is nice, an old game has a little something I like to call character. I look forward to one day sitting down and a table with you and Ben, rolling for a new destination, racing to try to buy the SAL or the ACL, taking the risk to pick up the Santa Fe or a Superchief early in the game, or getting suck making five trips in a row within the Northeast (that's you Jen). But most of all, I look forward to you and Ben being the ones to awkwardly say, "Adam, would you mind moving your drink away from the game...this game it is…ahhh…it just makes me nervous."
Let me know who wins the inaugural game.
